The FPL1053S high-powered, butterfly-packaged laser is a Fabry-Perot laser with a typical center wavelength of 1310 nm.
The laser is designed for pulsed operation, but may also be used in CW applications.
Thorlabs FPL1053S is a butterfly-packaged laser coupled to 1.5 m of FC/APC-connectorized single mode,
nonpolarization-maintaining fiber.
An integrated thermistor allows the FPL1053P to be temperature controlled, thus stabilizing the lasing wavelength and power.
The FPL1053S is manufactured by Thorlabs Quantum Electronics (TQE); this Fabry-Perot laser is based on quantum well
epitaxial layer growth and a highly reliable ridge waveguide.
The FPL1053S intrinsically offers high slope efficiency, which is the relationship between output power and drive current.
