The ProLite Xt Orion™ diode laser extends high power and reliability to a new level of brightness at 2.3 MW/cm2-sr. As a member of the ProLite Xt High Brightness family, Orion lasers utilize a powerful new mini-bar concept to achieve >25 W out of a 105 µm fiber. The small footprint of the fiber coupled package, along with the low thermal load, provides maximµm design flexibility for commercial fiber laser systems.
Oclaro has optimized the ProLite single emitter technology with innovations in materials, device design, and process refinement - creating one of the brightest diode sources in the industry. The ProLite Xt Orion diode laser utilizes this technology and is configured with multiple single emitters to create a mini-bar. The Orion mini-bar design maximizes reliability through independent emitter failure tolerance. This design, combined with optimized beamshaping, provides the brightest, most compact source to date for commercial fiber lasers.
The ProLite Xt Orion series is available with more than 25 W of output power at wavelengths of 915, 940 or 976 nm and 15 W at 808 nm. Its hermetic, compact design ensures easy integration into a wide variety of applications.
