Fibolux laser diodes are a cost effective solution for a coherent laser source. The laser diodes are fabricated in an industry standard, hermetically sealed butterfly package that incorporates a thermoelectric cooler (TEC), a thermistor and a back facet monitor photodiode (MPD).
These laser diodes provide a substantially longer coherence length than other semiconductor lasers, including DFB lasers, and a low phase noise. The wavelength stability is assured by design, eliminating the need for wavelength lockers and complex feedback control circuits.
Standard and advanced spectroscopy and interferometric instruments, including hydrophones and geophons, LIDAR, optical test and frequency conversion are examples for the variety of applications of these compact light sources.
