The Bow-Tie SAP design offers flexibility and versatility unique in PM fibers and the secret of this extreme performance of our HB-Z range is the extreme birefringence only the bow-tie geometry PM fiber can create. With polarization beat-lengths approaching 0.5 mm (at 633 nm), Fibercore Zing™ can provide 100 nm of practical, usable bandwidth, giving you a wide variety of packaging and source options - cabled or coiled, narrow linewidth laser or broadband ASE source.
Changing the length of the fiber and the coil diameter, either individually or together, can alter the central wavelength and the width of the operating window enabling the fiber to be tuned for your specific application.
